Yoga Therapy for Sacrum Health

Yoga Therapy for Sacrum Health

6 Hours | 2 Sessions

With Montserrat G. Mukherjee C-IAYT

The Sacrum is a triangular bone located at the base of the spine. It plays a vital role in supporting the upper body and transmitting weight to the lower body. When the Sacrum is healthy and functioning properly, it helps to maintain balance, flexibility, and stability.

Many yoga teachers are aware that Sacrum pain and dysfunction are common complaints, and that some of these issues, such as Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, can be caused or aggravated by standard yoga practices. These risks can be attributed to a variety of factors, including injury, overuse or -stretching, and age-related changes.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of Yoga Therapy techniques and practices specifically designed to enhance and maintain Sacrum health. We’ll delve into the anatomy, biomechanics, and common issues related to the Sacrum, gaining practical skills to tailor Yoga Therapy sessions for improving overall Sacrum health and alleviating related discomfort.
