Overview

Beyond the common manifestations of IBS like pain, diarrhoea, constipation, and gas, IBS can lead to less obvious issues, such as anxiety, depression, and even phobias associated with social environments.

Emerging research suggests links between IBS and heightened sensitivity, female sex hormones, and secondary health issues.

At its core, IBS is believed to involve a disruption in the nervous system, affecting gut-brain communication, and yoga may help.

Trials (showed) evidence for a beneficial effect of a yogic intervention over conventional treatment in IBS, with significantly decreased bowel symptoms, IBS severity, and anxiety.

This online Short Course explores how Yoga Therapy practices like movement, Yoga Nidra, and relaxation, can offer relief by addressing the physical and emotional aspects of IBS. We’ll focus on shifting the narrative from diet to encompassing broader life events and emotional states, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of IBS and its impact on daily life.
