YOGA THERAPY SUPPORT FOR CARERS OF DEMENTIA PATIENTS
Nurture your own wellbeing while supporting a loved one with dementia
COURSE OVERVIEW
Caring for a loved one with dementia is an act of profound compassion — but it can also be emotionally exhausting and isolating. Research reflects this reality: NICE guidelines in the UK highlight that carers of people with dementia need emotional and psychological support, social connection, physical strengthening strategies, and access to rest and breaks. The Alzheimer's Society notes that carers frequently experience severe stress, uncertainty, isolation, anxiety, depression, exhaustion, and loss of identity. Evidence-based dementia care confirms that carers need both practical knowledge and emotional confidence — yet these needs are rarely centred.
Many carers silently carry feelings of guilt, grief, and deep fatigue while giving endlessly to others with little time to restore themselves. So how can yoga therapy offer a meaningful, dignified, and accessible path forward?
This gentle yet empowering course is designed specifically for family members and carers of people living with dementia. Rather than focusing on how to "manage", it prioritises your own wellbeing, while also offering simple yoga therapy practices to bring ease, connection, and harmony into daily care routines.
