How to check out without VAT
Follow these four steps to apply the reverse-charge mechanism before you pay.
Important — read before you start
You must use the same email address when registering for VAT exemption and when checking out. If they don't match, the system won't recognise your exemption and VAT will still apply.
Add your course to the cart
Start on any course or diploma page
Go to the course or diploma page of your choice and click Add to cart. Your item will appear in the mini-cart on the right side of the screen.
You can add multiple courses before applying for exemption — exemption is applied to your whole basket at once.
Open the VAT exemption box
In the mini-cart or via direct link
In the mini-cart, look for the small link below "Leave a note with your order":
"Business customer? Order with VAT Exemption"
Clicking it takes you to the full cart page where the VAT exemption form appears at the bottom. Or go there directly:

Your email and EU VAT number
In the VAT exemption box, fill in:
- The email address you will use at checkout — this must match exactly
- Your valid EU VAT number (e.g. DE123456789)
Our system checks your number against the official EU VAT database (VIES) automatically. If it's valid, your account is immediately marked as VAT-exempt.
Validation is instant via the VIES databaseComplete checkout as normal
VAT is removed automatically
Return to checkout and enter the same email address you used in step 3. VAT will be removed from your order total automatically — no coupon code or manual request needed.
If VAT is still showing, double-check that both email addresses match exactly, including any spaces or capitalisation differences.
