Ayurvedic Healing & Yoga Therapy

50 Hours (7 Days Online + Home Study)

This module, taught by Coen van der Kroon and Liese van Dam, offers a clear and practical introduction to the foundational principles of Ayurveda and how they integrate with Yoga Therapy. You’ll explore the three doshas, Agni, Samkhya philosophy and the traditional language of Ayurvedic and yogic anatomy, and learn how these concepts translate into asana, pranayama and nutritional guidance.

Through experiential practice each day, you’ll develop the skills to weave Ayurvedic principles into your own yoga practice and client work, creating a grounded starting point for an authentically Ayurvedic approach to Yoga Therapy.

Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It’s based on the belief that health is a state of balance between mind, body and spirit. Ayurveda uses a variety of techniques, including diet, herbs, yoga, and meditation, to promote health and well-being.

Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy are closely related. Both systems of practice emphasise the importance of balance in the body and mind. Ayurveda provides a framework for understanding the individual’s unique constitution, or dosha, and Yoga Therapy provides a variety of tools that can be used to promote balance and well-being.

There are many benefits to combining Ayurveda and Yoga therapy, such as:

  • Improved understanding of the individual’s unique constitution
  • Increased awareness of the body’s natural healing processes
  • Development of a personalised health plan
  • Reduction of stress and anxiety
  • Improved physical and mental well-being

No, but we do recommend you try out as many recipes as possible during the week. This will help you integrate and learn what we offer more easily. You’ll be given recipes and some video’s on how to prepare meals in your own time.
