This module, taught by Coen van der Kroon and Liese van Dam, offers a clear and practical introduction to the foundational principles of Ayurveda and how they integrate with Yoga Therapy. You’ll explore the three doshas, Agni, Samkhya philosophy and the traditional language of Ayurvedic and yogic anatomy, and learn how these concepts translate into asana, pranayama and nutritional guidance.
Through experiential practice each day, you’ll develop the skills to weave Ayurvedic principles into your own yoga practice and client work, creating a grounded starting point for an authentically Ayurvedic approach to Yoga Therapy.

This course is designed for Yoga Therapy trainees currently in training to become certified yoga therapists, as well as experienced yoga teachers who wish to deepen their understanding of Yoga Therapy principles and applications. It also welcomes healthcare professionals—including medical doctors, physiotherapists, coaches, and other therapeutic practitioners—who are interested in integrating a multidisciplinary approach into their work.
Each module is held entirely online, welcoming students from all countries to study, learn, and grow together in our virtual classroom. We encourage students who have never studied with us before to complete an application form before booking a module.
