Free Yoga Nidra & Guided Meditation Recordings for Deep Rest & Nervous System Support

Yoga Nidra – often translated as 'yogic sleep' – is a guided practice that invites the body into deep rest while the mind remains gently aware. Practised lying down and guided by voice, it helps the nervous system shift out of stress and into a state of repair and restoration.

Many people use Yoga Nidra to support better sleep, ease tension in the body, and create moments of calm in the middle of busy lives. Even a short practice can leave you feeling clearer, steadier and more resourced.

In this space, I’m sharing a growing collection of free Yoga Nidra recordings. Yoga Nidra has been part of my personal practice for as long as I can remember, and it remains one of the simplest and most reliable ways I know to restore the nervous system.

A short Yoga Nidra followed by a nap has been part of my daily routine for many years. I often return to it in the middle of full or demanding days, when a small window of deep rest can make all the difference.

I also love recording these practices and sharing them with the wider Yoga Therapy community. It’s a pleasure to know these Nidras may find their way into someone’s day exactly when they’re needed.

Preparing for your Yoga Nidra practice

Before you begin, take a moment to prepare your space.

Wear something warm and comfortable, and find somewhere you can lie down where you won’t be disturbed. You might like to use a blanket, an eye pillow, or cushions under the knees for extra support.

Once you’re settled, simply press play and allow yourself to be guided.

There’s nothing to achieve and nowhere to get to. Just rest, listen, and let the practice unfold.
