The Yoga Therapy Tool #6: How do you respectfully start the class when your client wants to have a long conversation with you?

The Yoga Therapy Tool #6: How do you respectfully start the class when your client wants to have a long conversation with you?

✨ It all started when you asked them how they were doing… ✨

As a well-trained yoga therapy professional, you know how important it is to check in with your client when they arrive. You want to hear about any new symptoms, worries, or disruptions—as well as the positive changes and improvements in their health.

But sometimes, before you know it, 30 minutes have passed in conversation. Time is running out, and you haven’t yet started the movement and breathing practices that could really support them.

Of course, you don’t want to be rude. Yet it’s also important to stay within your scope of practice and avoid giving the impression that you are there as their psychoanalyst.

🌿 So… what do you do?

In this video ⬇️ I share two simple tips that I often use in these situations—graceful, effortless, and always respectful of your client’s needs.
