Yoga Therapy for Pain Relief Workshop
6 Hours | 3 Sessions 13th, 14th & 15th August
With Montserrat G. Mukherjee C-IAYT
“The most challenging situations I have faced as a Yoga Therapist have been with clients who are in pain, especially when the pain is felt in all the different layers of the individual: physical, mental, and spiritual.”
In a world where opioid reliance is a major public health issue, many people are looking for alternatives, complimentary ways to manage pain. Yoga Therapy is a safe and effective option that can help to reduce pain and improve overall well-being. While it is not a substitute for medical treatment, including medication, Yoga Therapy can be a helpful addition to a pain management plan.
In this workshop, Montserrat G. Mukherjee C-IAYT will share practical tools and techniques based on inspiring case studies of clients with pain, from acute to chronic. You’ll learn simple skills that you can apply immediately to your own work.
As a therapist or somatic worker, you may sometimes worry about making your client’s pain worse. During these difficult sessions, you and your client may feel frustrated, insecure, and even afraid. This workshop can also be helpful if you are experiencing pain yourself.
