Kristin Vikjord is influenced by several wisdom traditions and is recognized for her expertise in the clinical application of yoga. She is passionate about facilitating professional platforms for yogis who wish to deepen their practice, exchange their experiences, and develop their competence.
From this intention, she has founded the Yogi Facilitator program, and The Arctic Yoga Conference .
Kristin will be leading The Yoga Therapy Institute’s Yoga and Mental Health course, which focusses on reducing post pandemic stress and mental fatigue.
Kristin is an E-RYT 500 teacher who holds several teacher training certificates from
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
- Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY)
- Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Training (MYMT).
She is a trained clinical psychologist and has worked in psychiatry for several years. Her work includes in- and outpatient treatment for eating disorders and substance addictions.
The last decade she has applied yoga and mindfulness practices to traditional psychotherapeutic approaches, both for individuals and in groups.
Kristin is currently mentoring institutions and organizations in the implementation of these interventions, as well as supporting yoga teachers and health professionals through her mentorship program.
Kristin is a gentle, empathic and professional therapist with a gift for communication and connection with others. This allows her to be one of the most influential teachers in Europe in the field of Yoga for the Mind.
