Britta Dezillie C-IAYT

Britta Dezillie is a gualified C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, an experienced health & movement coach and massage therapist.
Whilst living in New Zealand, Britta was inspired by the Maori culture and she adopted “Pikorua”, the spiral of simple life, where the body joins the mind, as her logo.
Britta’s classes are a combination of Hatha Yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong and general well-being. She teaches students how to maintain a balanced life by lengthening the spine and creating space in the entire body – this is the signature construct underlying her work.
She teaches in all our modules presenting her inspiring real case studies, bringing valuable insights on her work with people with disabilities, older adults and minority populations.
Britta holds a doctorate in physics (PhD) and has been working at CERN in Geneva (Switzerland). She has specialised in medical physics in Hefei (China) and Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton (USA). As of 2002 she began to change her focus to healthcare and in 2013, she had the privilege of doing her Yoga teacher training with ‘the inspirational Swami Shantimurti Okan’ at his Ashram in Ohui, New Zealand.
Britta continued her training in New Zealand with “Yoga for children” by Devananda Gleitman and completed her RYT 500 Yoga teacher training with Atma Okan at the Ahram Yoga in Ohui. Under the guidance of Jivana Heyman, Britta went on to study “Accessible Yoga” and “Yoga for All”. In Switzerland, she furthered her proficiency with Pilates Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Do In and Aqua Gym, learning from a number of highly regarded teachers such as Ana Luis Martins, Evelyne Frugier and Anne Schneider, to name a few.
In 2014, Britta established her own project “Wellbeing at Work”, which was hosted by several large multinational organisations in Geneva. She also returned to CERN, but this time as a health coach, giving workshops and weekly wellbeing classes. As a certified massage therapist, Britta specialises in releasing back pain.
In 2016, Britta Dezillie initiated and organised the annual Well-Being Festival, held initially in Farges and later, in Challex (France).
Britta is one of the graduates of the The Yoga Therapy Institute’s Yoga Therapy Diploma Course. She is now a registered C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and has become a member of the teaching faculty, where she teaches with great devotion.
Britta is a nature girl. Although she travels a lot, her harbour remains “La Renardière”, a 400-year old farmhouse in France, where she lives with her husband and her two wonderful daughters. It is where she welcomes her friends and students for well-being workshops, aqua wellness and cooking classes, using fresh produce from her garden. “La “Renardière” (the fox burrow) is a place where you can rest and find tranquility, with a Yoga Nidra by Britta.
