HSP

Description

Every moment of the day, we acquire impressions. We are exposed to all kinds of stimuli we perceive with all our senses; tastes, smells, sounds, movements, colours, shapes, atmospheres, and so forth. Highly sensitive people, however, tend to perceive all information without some of the filters. A highly sensitive person (HSP) is more susceptible than average to stimuli and impressions from the outside world.

HSP’s have an extra sensitive central nervous system, which is not an illness or disease but could be considered a personality trait.

They notice things quicker and can also experience intense stimuli as difficult or painful, leading to increased psychological vulnerability. In combination with our fast, performance-oriented information society, HSP’s are developing more and more challenges, with a higher risk factor for burnout, depression, and fibromyalgia.

Why is it that HSP’s are more prone to stress-related things? How can we avoid this or limit possible damage? How can we take more care of ourselves? How do we cope with HSP in interpersonal relationships?

Considering that HSP may affect 20% of the global population, you likely know someone or are an HSP yourself.

During this fascinating, inspiring, and interactive course, Britta Dezillie will answer questions and provide insights for better dealing with high sensitivity and for developing self-care tailored to your needs.
