Yoga Therapy Courses
Ayurvedic Healing & Yoga Therapy with Coen van Der Kroon & Liese van Dam | ONLINE
A 50-hour experiential training for Yoga Teachers, Yoga Therapists & Yoga practitioners.
THE MODULE
The Ayurvedic Healing & Yoga Therapy module with Coen van der Kroon and Liese van Dam is a thorough introduction to the basic principles of Ayurveda and how to connect them to Yoga Therapy.
The coursework includes the following:
- Information on the Three Doshas, (Vata, Pitta and Kapha), how they work and how they apply to daily life
- An introduction to the concept of Agni and how it relates to our lifestyle, our digestion and our thinking
- Familiarity with Samkhya philosophy and key concepts on development and evolution of disease and influential factors on recovery and management from an Ayurvedic perspective.
- Online cooking demonstrations, with recipes, which will deepen your understanding of how Agni is intimately connected with nutrition
- Practical applications of Vata, Pitta, Kapha and Agni to asana and pranayama, through assignments and practical work
- The ancient terminology of ayurvedic and yogic anatomy and physiology and how this terminology relates to body, mind and soul
- The six tastes (Rasas) and how they constitute the story of our lives
“Each day will begin with a Yoga practice. Students will also be completing online assignments, individually and in small groups. This will support the integration of ayurvedic principles into your Yoga practice and your work with clients”.
